Rodney made many strong relationships in his life both here and in his travels abroad, and cherished those relationships. He was proud of his godchildren and spoke very highly of them.

Rodney grew up in Regina and was very interested in photography. He was often seen taking pictures at family functions and around the community. He was a longtime season ticket holder and incredibly passionate and devoted fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Rodney was a longtime member and dancer with the Miorita Romanian Cultural Society, and at age 66 was still performing with them. He was also involved with the Regina German Club. He was always very proud of his Romanian and German heritage.
