

Stan passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Monday, November 16, 2015. Born in 1939 in Esterhazy, he worked as a miner early in his career and later as an iron worker. Stan had a passion for tropical fish. What started as a hobby in his basement turned into a successful business chain known today as A-1 Aquarium and Pet Supply. His other passion was the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He held the same East Side seats for many years. Stan was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Joe Tocher; siblings Mary-Anne, Wayne “Big Joe,” Donny, Kenny and Lorie. He is survived by his loving wife Marion (nee Schlechter); children Deborah (Greg), Darren (Laura), Brent (Colleen) and Brenda (Tommy); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Shirley (Jean) and Marcie; as well as many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at Lee Funeral home, 3101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. The family would like to extend their thanks to all the healthcare professionals who provided care to Stan. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Stan may be made to a charity of choice.
