Tami Denise Nagel

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Tami Denise Nagel, who passed away on September 12, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Tami was born on July 30, 1958, in Regina, Saskatchewan, the city she would always call home. In the final year of her life, she moved in with her son Matt, his partner Kasja Probe, and their daughter Frankie in McLean, just outside Regina, where she was surrounded by family and love.

Anyone who knew Tami knew what a strong woman she was. She was feisty, fiercely independent and incredibly resilient, while also being kind, warm and deeply loving. She faced life with strength and determination and was, without question, one of the strongest women we have ever known.

Above all, Tami was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Her family meant the world to her, and being a grandmother was one of the great joys of her life. To her grandchildren, she was affectionately known as “Mimi” and “Grammy”, a name that will forever hold a very special place in our hearts.

Tami had a great love for gardening and truly had a green thumb. She seemed to know everything there was to know about plants and took great pride in her beautiful garden. She was also an animal lover and, for anyone who knew her well, there was no denying her sweet tooth - she always appreciated a good treat.

Tami will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jacki Thomas, and grandchildren, Courtney, Isaac and Kaija; her son, Ryan Kormos, and grandchildren, Kaitlin and Camdyn; and her son, Matt Nagel, grandson, Eli, Matt’s partner, Kasja Probe, and their daughter, Frankie.

Tami was predeceased by her parents, William and Margaret Nagel; her sister, Dianne Young; and her beloved granddaughter, Courtney Nagel. We also find comfort in imagining her reunited with her beloved dog, Billy, who held such a special place in her heart.

Although her time with us was far too short, we are incredibly proud of the courage and strength Tami showed throughout her illness. She was deeply loved, and the love she gave to all of us will continue long after her passing.

Mom, Mimi, Grammy - you were loved beyond measure and will be missed more than words could ever express. Your strength, your feisty spirit, your warmth and your love will live on in all of us. Just as you lovingly tended your garden, the love you planted in our family will continue to grow for generations to come.

We will carry you with us always.
