Tanya was a true free spirit in the purest sense of the word, and she left footprints on the hearts of everyone she met along her too-brief, beautiful, perfectly imperfect journey. She lived one thousand lives in her fifty-six years, and she will be profoundly missed by her loving family and endless number of friends, a list that was ever-growing with each new encounter. Tanya’s spirit was incredibly impactful, and her love for God was loud and undeniable. She was courageous until the end, the time at which she knew was exactly right to go home to her own perfect paradise with her Heavenly Father. She is undoubtedly dancing and smiling down on her daughters and grandbabies whom she loved fiercely. She has already sent beautiful messages to her girls to let them know how happy she is to be in her eternal home, and no longer in any pain. Her soul will be forever missed, but forever a part of her treasured daughters, Amber, Chaley, and Breanne (Alyssa), her beautiful grandchildren Annaka, Isak, and Nash, her loving parents Dianne and Garnet, brothers Brooks (Patrice), and Casey (Sonya), nephews Mathew, Josh, and Mason, and an endless list of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends she made along the way.
Tanya’s passions were innumerable. She truly was a Jill of All Trades. Always ahead of her time, Tanya was boldly unafraid of diving into her endeavors, and she thrived on taking risks. Her entrepreneurial spirit gifted the Cathedral Community with her own vibrant, eclectic energy in the shape of a coffee and consignment store, and she held jobs in various fields that all complemented the infinite sparkling facets of her bright and uniquely-persevering soul. She was an exquisite and fearless gift to this world.
There are not enough words to fully describe the deeply profound feelings of sorrow that her own little universe of those blessed to have known her heart are experiencing – Tanya truly is legendary. We have all lost our biggest fan, though we find a calming peace in knowing she is with the Lord in Heaven.
Our sincere gratitude goes out to the doctors and nurses of 3A at Pasqua Hospital who helped our precious Tanya make the final steps of her journey home.
