

Malcolm Charles Becker, 87, passed away April 27, 2015, in The Reading Hospital. His wife, Lar T. (Blanco) Becker passed away on April 19, 2009. Malcolm was born in Reading on April 10, 1928, a son of the late William J. and Agnes (Wengert) Becker.
He was a member of Nativity Lutheran Church, Reading and was in the Coast Guard for 20 years serving during the Korean War, retiring in 1968. Malcolm was employed by Precision Rebuilding and Textile Machine Works as a machinist. He was later employed by Stroh's Brewery as a machinist for 15 years, retiring in 1989.
Malcolm is survived by his 2 daughters, Susan and her husband, Daniel Mosser of Reading and Frances and her husband, Ronald Hertzog of Port Orange, FL. There are 6 grandchildren: Jennifer and her husband, Jonathan Dumas, Thomas and his wife, Claudia Barrett, Matthew Hertzog, Lindsay Mosser, Emily Mosser and Kelsey Mosser, and 7 great-grandchildren: Trent Hertzog, Connor Barrett, Ian Dumas, Ava Dumas, Ruby Hertzog, Ella Dumas and Meadow Barrett. He was predeceased by his brother, William Becker.
Services will be Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Auman's Inc., Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A gathering will be Tuesday 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.aumansinc.com.
