Grandpa, 
I miss you more than anything, and not a day goes by where you don’t pop up into my brain. Going to the cabin isn’t ever the same, and I still cry anytime I walk up the drive way, or open that gate to the front porch. Thinking about you waving us goodbye anytime we left there, or you and Uncle Jack drinking coffee outside bright and early, talking about the birds, and what y’all were gonna have for dinner. 
You were my best friend, and I’m so grateful  to live with you for the last year of you being with us. Making me laugh, watch the news and getting to know EVERY John Wayne movie to ever be made, even though those fake gun shots got old after awhile. Telling me the boys aren’t worth the time and slapping my tattoo after I got one just for you.  
I know your up there now with Grandma, Donny, Larry, Skip  and all of your brothers. All happy around the dinner table playing cribbage, telling old stories, just happy full of laughter.  Like the old days. 
Thank you for raising some of the best kids, Dad, Bobbie, and Dean wouldn’t be who they are today if they didn’t have the best role models in the world growing up. 
I miss you so so much gramps, and I love you endlessly. You’re my forever hero  ❤️

I am one of Sally's daughters who lived with Bud and Mom after they were married. I have very fond memories of Bud. He was always so good to me and my sister even though we weren't his children. He treated us as if we were and I will always be grateful to him for that. Bud was a kind, fun, and loving man. He often took us to the Rodeo in Goldendale and we also spent time at Kate's there. I think Bud is the reason I like both kinds of music, Country and Western. 


The road of life for (Bud) Delbert Dove began on September
13 th 1926 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. His Father was John (Jack) Lester
Dove and his Mother was Kate Louise Wilson-Dove. Born of this
union were four boys Bud, Bill, Bob, and Jack. All four Dove
Brothers would develop and keep their country cowboy roots and
identities throughout their lives.
In 1943, The Dove family moved from the country roads of
Idaho Falls, Idaho to the backroads of Goldendale WA. In and
around Goldendale, Bud worked on ranches until going into the
service on February 19th 1945. He served in the US Navy as a Sea
Bee until being honorably discharged on May 19 th 1946.
On September 16 th 1950, Bud married Valeri (Sally) Stewart in
Goldendale WA and shortly thereafter they moved to Spokane
WA. Where they started a family with the birth of their daughter
Vera Lynn. Bud and Sally eventually divorced.
Bud would soon come to the crossroads of Seattle, where he
started driving dump truck and hauling out of City of Carnation
WA. It was in Carnation where Bud met Lois Tweed in May of
1956. After a short courtship, Bud and Lois were married on
August 25th 1956 in Carnation. Bud and Lois raised 5 children
Jack, Bobbie, Don who passed away in July of 1993’, Larry, and

Dean. Bud’s beloved Lois preceded him in death passing away on
December 17th 2005.
Bud was all about family, and he leaves behind as part of his
legacy his growing posterity including his 6 children, 6
grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
Bud would work at various trucking companies throughout
the Seattle area. 

One of my favorite memory's of my grandpa the story of how I got my name it was a big debate between Delbert and Stanley both great names from both sides of the family. I miss you more then words can express, I know your with grandma watching over us. I love you so much 

Gramps, 
I love you more than you will ever know, you are so so loved by everyone, but you know that.
 Katie and i will never forget the memories we shared with you and we talk about them all the time, all your little sayings, being so close to our hearts.

You were such a free soul and it took me so long to realize, your cowboy facade fooled me when i was younger and the older i became the more i saw through it. You and Grandma both had such caring hearts and we are so lucky to have you in our lives. You are such a strong fighter, and i hope that we get that trait from you, we already have the stubborn trait. 
I look forward to seeing both you and grandma again, but 'til then, i hope you both are catching up drinking coffee and having a rodeo with your 4 brothers and Donny. 
You have to let me know if you meet John Wayne while you're up there. I know you're watching over us, just send us a sign i look for them everywhere.

Dad- 
I will always love you and its basically like my entire life i wanted to grow up to be like you. Thoughts of being 17 and driving a Boeing semi with you and both Donker brothers, Louis and Charlie, make me realize where i am now following in your footsteps. It was nice to be able to work for you as my dispatcher, and i never wanted to let you down.  I think about you and Mom all the time.
