

Clarence mother passed when he was 2 years old and his father passed when he was 5 years old. He was raised by his older sister, Irene Williams. He attended Public schools in Starks, Louisiana. He moved to Deweyville, Texas and met Leona Williams at the age of 14 years old. He asked her father if he could court her when he was 16 years old. They married September 26, 1939 when he was 19 years old. Clarence and Leona had been married for 76 years when he went home to be with the Lord.
Clarence came to know the Lord at an early age. He loved being in different Ministries of the Church. Clarence loved the Old Spirituals and also loved to sing. He started working at an early age of 14 years old at the Sawmill in Deweyville, Texas. He moved to Beaumont, Texas in 1942 and attended Scottolive Baptist Church. There he sang in the choir.
Clarence was a hard worker and very dedicated family man. He relocated to Bremerton, Washington in 1944 and then Renton, Washington in 1947. He was employed by Alpine, and later the company changed the name to Darigold. He worked there until he retired. After he retired he stayed busy with his own Hauling business. Clarence also loved playing baseball and played on the Senior Citizen Baseball League in Renton, Washington. He taught his children and grandchildren to bowl, shoot pool and play dominoes. Clarence could always be found playing with his grandchildren and the kids in the neighborhood. He cared deeply for his neighbors and always seen to it they were ok. If they needed anything, he did everything in his power to get it for them.
Clarence leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Bonita and Ruth of Los Angeles, California; one son, Craig; Grandchildren, Darren, Lora, Nicole, Clarence III, Toni, and Richard; Great Grandchildren, Shekinah, Marcus, C.J., Evans, Cameron, Cordell, Clarence IV, Maisy, Carmen, Tyson, James, Nina, Daniel, Micah; Great-Great Grandchildren, Josiah and Talia; three Nieces, Ezora, Wanda, and Odessa; one Nephew, Robert; All the Family God planted in his life, Lynn, Gwen, The Shropshires, The Barfield’s, The Talley’s, all his Renton Family, and a host of other Family and Friends.
