Davette Leona Turner

Davette Leona Turner 61, returned to her heavenly home on November 28th, 2018. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace. Davette was born to the late David Lee Dunmore Sr. and Statial Virginia Lewis , a homemaker respectively, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 12, 1957. She was immersed in the Christian community that would be her lifelong support.

Davette was an assistant to her children as a mother should an entrepreneur she also attended Renton Technical College ,SVI and Rose Of Sharon Seminary she was a member of Eternity Ministries Church (Pastor: Joe Carter) also she played a major part in the 12 programs through out the Pacific NW with 24

years of personal recovery! Davette was blessed with a large and loving family. She was residing with her best friend and significant other, Andrew Winstead, for 25 years in Seattle, WA. Davette raised her three children with patience, discipline and humility. She taught them to be respectable human beings and how to love one another and she instilled in them the definition of family, and often took them on long family trips to see the natural beauty of nature throughout the country.

From the very beginning, she was highly dedicated to making sure her children and grandchildren were educated and encouraged them to explore the beauty of knowledge and life, leading her only son John S. Turner Jr, to become the strong and intelligent man he is today, also her oldest daughter Johnette L. Haines to become the loving mother and servant of God she is today and her youngest daughter Davanta Fuhr who is her baby and her heart to become the mother and teacher she is today! Davette was an educator at heart. She was kind, loving and out-spoken, and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator.

Davette is survived by Andrew Winstead, John Turner Sr.; her son John Turner ; her daughters Johnette Haines and Davonta Furr her grandchildren Jacqucora Turner, Xzavier Turner, Erica Sims, Ruchell Jack Jr., Romell Jack, Rusha Jack, James Haines Jr., Joseph Haines, Judea Haines, Jason Fuhr, Shaun Fuhr and Giovanni Fuhr; her great grandchildren Nathaniel Mitchel, King Zi'Rek Turner-Sims, Prince Davette Turner-Sims, Bella Sims, Amour Burke, Da’ky Jenkins and by her brothers James Dunmore & David Dunmore Jr. sisters; Evette Dunmore & Tamara Wyatt, a host of nieces and nephews and son in-law James Haines Sr and she is proceeded in death by Statial V. Lewis, Pearl Hendricks, David L. Dunmore Sr., Ellen Peay and Joyce Mathews; Davette Leona Turner will be missed by many she will always be in our hearts and memories!
