Dorothy Ann Carlisle

Dorothy Ann Florence (O’Neil) Carlisle, age 95 of Renton, WA passed away peacefully at her Grandson’s house in Puyallup, WA surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday morning, February 21, 2017. She was born to the late Edward and Minnie on March 29, 1921. Dorothy is also known by the nick names Bird and Florence.

Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband, her parents, 2 sons, a grandson, and also 9 siblings.

Dorothy is survived by 1 granddaughter, 2 grandsons, 1 daughter-n-law, 6 great grandchildren, and 3 great, great grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous loving nephews, nieces, and friends.

Dorothy has been a devoted member of St. Stephen the Martyr for 50 years and volunteered in the Visitation Guild for 10 of those years.

Family and friends were Dorothy’s love and joy. She loved to cook meals for family and friends and no-one ever left hungry. She also loved to play Bingo, Rummy, and Pinochle. Grandma loved to tell stories of family members. She spent many a night reminiscing with her family and they enjoyed the stories she told about her life growing up. She always thought of other people before herself and was happiest knowing her loved ones were happy and healthy.

The family wishes to thank all of those who were a part of Dorothy’s life. She cherished each and everyone one of you.
