

Koui was born in 1949 in Laos to Fou Chuong Saechin and Nai Chien Saelee. He married his wife Meui Foo Saechin in 1971 in Laos. He was a veteran of the Secret War in Laos starting service at just 15 years old and serving up until he was about 25 years old. He was a hardworking man who picked up whatever work he could find to support his family upon immigrating to the U.S.
His fondest childhood memories consisted of playing with slingshots, hunting, and playing with the neighborhood kids, with his earliest ambition being to work hard on the farm. He enjoyed the simple things in life such as spending time with his family, having a roof over his head, and just being in America with support. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, selling the food he grew, and taking walks for exercise.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, as well as his siblings Tsee Chuong Saechin, Kat Chuong Saechin, Fey Chuong Saechin, Sou Chuong Saechin, and Lou Chuong Saechin.
He is survived by his spouse, Meui Foo Saechin, 2 children, Lio Saechin and Cheo Chinn, sister, Chai Chuong Saechin, 3 grandchildren, Sopharie Hildebrand, Malina Chinn, and Jannavie Pienh, and 2 great-grandchildren, Ezekiel and Zane Pienh.
There will be a service for those who would like to say their last goodbye to Koui on March 21, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., at Greenwood Memorial Park & Funeral Home.
