Linda Eileen Azzola (née Johnson), age 77, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, in Renton, Washington, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on October 11, 1947, in Seattle, Washington, Linda was a lifelong resident who called Renton home for 55 years alongside her beloved husband, Larry D. Azzola. Their enduring love story spanned 57 wonderful years of marriage, a testament to their deep commitment to one another.
A proud graduate of Kent Meridian High School, Linda began her professional journey at Boeing. She later chose to devote herself fully to raising her family as a loving stay-at-home mother. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support created a home filled with warmth and joy. As her children grew older, Linda returned to the workforce with the same dedication she brought to her family life. She served as a pre-flight security guard at Sea-Tac Airport and later worked at the Issaquah Costco Ophthalmologist office, where her gentle demeanor and caring nature left a lasting impression on colleagues and visitors alike.
Linda's life was rich with simple pleasures that brought her great joy. She enjoyed trips to the casino, had a fondness for collecting Beanie Babies, and cherished countless camping adventures that allowed her to connect with nature and loved ones. A proud member of the Red Hat Ladies group she started with her mother, she embraced the vibrant spirit of sisterhood in her favorite colors—red and purple. Her playful side shone through in unexpected ways; she was a modern grandmother who delighted in video games, surprising many with her enthusiasm for the Wii and Xbox Halo sessions shared with her husband. Her home was always alive with laughter—from dogs scampering about to grandchildren enjoying homemade treats and ice cream while playing endless games together.
Those who knew Linda will remember her sweet, soft-spoken voice and generous heart. Her strong Christian faith guided every aspect of her life, shaping the love she gave so freely to others. Whether welcoming someone into her home or offering a kind word when it was most needed, Linda had an extraordinary gift for making people feel seen, valued, and loved.
