He lived a life filled with laughter and gratitude for life’s smallest nuances. He followed his curiosities, always staying updated on the news and seeking to uncover the mysteries of the world and its history. Peter had an uncanny ability to make every person feel valued, and he carried a quick-witted authenticity until his final moments.
Peter had a deep passion for football, playing guard at Renton High School before earning a scholarship to Eastern Washington. He loved fishing and was a longtime season-ticket holder for his Mariners, and he especially loved spending Sundays cheering on the Seahawks.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marsha; his two daughters, Teri Agnew and Michele Fjeld; son, Christopher Madsen; his grandchildren, Bryan Agnew, Brittany Goin, Mikayla Jerome, Brittany Eagan, Mackenzie Madsen, and Emily Madsen; and his six great-grandchildren.
