Zhuo Wu

伍灼洲生于1953年3月2日,兄弟6人排行第二。

自小家中比较清贫,在缺吃少穿的年代,常常捉鱼,捞虾,捕田鸡改善生活,日子虽苦,倒过得还轻松快乐。

从16岁起就加入基础公司成为一名木工, 正是这个工作经历收获了一门手艺,家中的小 中物件都是自己亲手打造。

为了改变艰辛的生活环境,曾2次游水去香港,九死一生,终无功而返。

直到1984来到美国开始新生活,同年生下了第一个女儿伍健美,是一名会计师主任,也就是这个女儿成为他一生的骄傲,正因为此常常鼓励第二个女儿伍文倩要好好向大姐学习。

在美国将近40年生涯中,大部分时间都在餐馆工作,做工的苦,语言不通,尝尽了人间的酸甜苦辣,常常去打麻雀,去赌场消磨时间亦成为他的唯一乐趣.

2020年不幸患上肺癌,3年的抗癌令到他身心疲倦,终于在2003年1月19日不敌病疯的侵袭,永远地离开了我们,去往了没有痛苦的西方极乐世界。

The Life Story of Mr. Wu Zhuozhou

Wu Zhuozhou was born on March 2, 1953, the second of six brothers in the family.

Ever since he was a child, his family was relatively poor. In the era of lacking of food and clothing, he often went fishing, trapped shrimp, and caught frogs to bring home for his family to eat. Although life was hard, he still able to live a relaxed and happy life.

He joined Foundation Company as a carpenter at the age of 16, and it was through this work experience that he learned the craft. It is so meaningful that all the small and medium woodworks in his home were made by him. They offer an important reminder of his presence.

In order to change his difficult living situation, he fled his home town by swimming twice to Hong Kong, narrowly escaping death both times, and eventually returned without success.

It was in 1984 that he came to the United States to start a new life. In the same year, he blessed have his first daughter, May Wu, who is an accountant director and has become the pride of his life. His wife and him soon had their second daughter, Wendy Q. Wu, who is also a light of his life, as well.

In his nearly 40-year career in the United States, he spent most of his time working in restaurants. The work was hard and difficult for him, as well as the additional challenge of learning a new language. He has tasted the sweetness and bitterness of life. He loved to play Mah Jong and spent much time at the casino-these pasttimes brought him much joy.

Unfortunately, he suffered from lung cancer in 2020. Three years of fighting cancer made him physically and mentally exhausted. Finally, on January 19, 2023, he lost his battle and left us forever, going to the world of bliss without pain.
