
Doris Ann Henkel, age 70, died Monday, March 11, 2013 at St. Mary’s hospital with her family by her side. She was born August 16, 1942 to Raymond and Marion (Horn) Skoy. Doris graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1960. She married Wally Henkel on September 29, 1962. Doris work as a clerk for the Milwaukee Railroad in Milwaukee for eight years. They moved to Rhinelander in 1979 and started Henkel’s Town Pump and retire in 2003. Doris was the fire warden for 20 years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, going to the casino and playing and listening to music.
Doris is survived by her children; Brian (Bev), Todd (Joy) both of Rhinelander, and Darin (Tina) of Baraboo, WI, four grandchildren, Tyler, Alex, Kenny and Chad, four great-grandchildren Riley, Ava, Logun and Grant, a brother, Richard (Shirley) Skoy and special friends, Nancy Pugh and Jack Decker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wally and her parents.
A memorial service will be Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 10:30am at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Matthew Schoel. Visitation will be Friday, March 15, 2013 at Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. A memorial has been established in Doris name and may be directed to the family.
