Elaine Elizabeth Fredrich

Elaine E. Fredrich (Nee Pleoger), age 86, died Friday October 4, 2013, at Country Terrace Assisted Living. She was born July 18, 1927 in Aniwa WI, to Lyle and Florence (Little). She went to grade school in Aniwa and after moving to Rhinelander, she graduated from Rhinelander High School. She went on to attend Bellevue School of Nursing. Elaine married Thomas on February 5, 1949. She worked at Fredrich’s Bar in McNaughton, enjoyed reading, raising wild animals, playing golf, watching the Packers and the Cubs, known for her homemade pecan rolls she made for Christmas, and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Elaine is survived by her children Patti (Noel) Evans of Marshfield, Jane (Fred) Sorenson of McNaughton, Debra (Pete Hendricks) Fredrich of Oconto Falls, Scott (Wendy) Fredrich of Gleason, and Tom (Laurie) Fredrich of Dodgeville, brother-in-law Gene Martishus of Rhinelander, grandchildren Jenny and Dave, Curt and Cassie, Sally and Bill, Nora and Jason, Tim and Tina, Peter, Doug, Matt and Deniece, Megan, Breigh and Shawn, Nathan and Jessica, Chelsey and Darrin, Tom, Jeremy, Jennifer, numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas on November 1, 2008, Daughter Terry, sisters Fae, Helen, and her brother Keith.

A mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, October 10, 2013 at noon. at Nativity of Our Lord ~ St. Joseph’s site with Father Tom Thakadipuram officiating. Burial will follow at Newbold Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before mass at church. Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home, 715-365-4343 is assisting the family with arrangements.
