Marjorie Rose Montalto

Marjorie Rose Montalto, age 69, died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 15, 1942 to William and Rose (Citrano) Meikel in Chicago, Illinois. Marjorie worked as a housekeeper in the hotel industry. Marjorie loved raising her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, watching soap operas, singing and in her younger years drawing.

She is survived by her children; Rosemarie L. Paul of Rockford, IL, Sherry J. (Ralph) Smith of Belvidere, IL, Vincent E. (Annette) of Tomahawk, Steve C. (Vicky) of Rockford, IL, Cynthia M. (Zoran) Edrovski of Rhinelander, Alberto ( Elizabeth) of Mundelein, IL and Maria of Rhinelander, 25 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Sister of Edward Meikel of Shaumburg, IL, Janet Rofus of Shiller Park, IL and Charlotte (Thomas) Loxas of Rosemont, IL, her brother-in-law, Jack Lemke of Suprize, AZ and her sister-in-law Ann Meikel of Shaumburg, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Richard Meikel and Mary Lemke, her sister-in-law, Joan Meikel and a great granddaughter, Isabelle Smith.

A memorial mass will be Saturday, August 4, 2012 at10:00 A.M. at St Peter’s Catholic Church 1243 N. Church Street, Rockford, IL. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Marjorie may be sent to, in care of Vincent Montalto N11564 Muskellunge Lake Rd, Tomahawk, WI 54487.
