Andy Jason Priest

Andy was born on January 6, 1948 in Vallejo, CA to his parents, Marietta and Bill J. Priest. The Priest’s moved to Dallas from California in 1965 where Bill was the founding Chancellor of the Dallas County Community College District. He graduated from the North Texas State University with his Bachelor’s degree and Southern Methodist University with his Master’s degree.

Andy spent the bulk of his career teaching automotive technology at Eastfield College in Mesquite, TX. He also ran a successful accident reconstruction company where he traveled across the country performing accident investigations. He formally retired in 2016.

Outside of work, Andy loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fly-fishing with family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling and took his family on many trips across the United States.

Andy is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Laurie Priest of Dallas, daughter and son-in-law Jill and Mike Amati of Geneseo, NY, four grandchildren, Kate and Jenna Priest & Ian and Marietta Amati, a host of terrific friends, and his trusty sidekick Ace (dog).

He is proceeded in death by his wife, Sheri Sinclair Priest.
