Arthur was born on August 3, 1948, on a Naval base in Maryland. He was raised by his loving parents, Maxine and Thomas Gale, in Ardmore, Oklahoma — a town he held close to his heart and returned to often throughout his life.
In his teenage years, Arthur and his devoted mother Maxine moved to Dallas, Texas. He attended Hillcrest High School, spent a brief period at Ponca Military Academy, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and ultimately graduated from Hillcrest High, where lifelong friendships and memories were formed.
Arthur was well known for his career in real estate and development, working at Arthur P. Gale Realtors in Dallas — a brokerage founded by his mother, Maxine. Real estate was more than a profession to Arthur; it was a continuation of family legacy and pride.
Later in life, Arthur found profound purpose and happiness as a Mason. He was an active Mason for well over 28 years - serving multiple offices during his tenure, including master of Pentagon Lodge No. 1080 from 2000-2001. He also received the Golden Trowel award (the highest award given by a lodge) in 2008. He dedicated himself wholeheartedly to the brotherhood, giving back through service, generosity, and unwavering commitment. This spirit of service defined the man so many knew and loved — a true giver in every sense of the word.
Arthur loved life and love, and as his family fondly says, he never hesitated to say, “I do.”
Arthur was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Oakley Gale, a Naval WWII POW; his mother, Maxine Pinkard Gale; and his beloved grandson, Andrew “Dillon” Young
He is survived by his daughter Stacy Levin and son-in-law Dan Levin of Frisco, Texas; daughter Taylor Gale of Dallas, Texas; daughter Victoria “Torii” Gale of Dallas, Texas; and his cherished grandson, Aiden Black of Dallas, Texas.
Arthur will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, sense of humor, BIG personality and the deep love he held for his family, friends, and community. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched.
