Billy Claude Stephens, 84, of Dallas, TX, passed away on June 20, 2016. He was born on October 26, 1931 in Mineral Wells, TX to Claude and Rachel Stephens. He joined the Marine Corps at age 17. While in the service he met his loving wife, Carol. After the Korean War, he returned to the states to start a family. His career brought the family to Texas. He had a successful agency with State Farm Insurance for almost 40 years. Bill was an avid golfer, an active member of the Dallas Athletic Country Club, and he was a devoted man of faith. Bill will be greatly missed by his wife, Carol; daughters, Virginia Lathan and husband Wayman, and April Bell; and grandsons, Jason Smith and Jerry Bell. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of Prestonwood Baptist Church, 6801 W. Park Blvd, Plano, TX 75093, on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 2:00pm.
