He was raised on a farm and learned the value of hard work and family. He served four years in the U.S.Navy and trained as an Aviation Electronics Technician. Then, in 1964, he met the love of his life, Delores, while working at Litton Industries in Lubbock, TX. Married on Christmas Day, they spent 47 years together until her passing in 2012. They lived in the country outside Lubbock, where they raised five children before moving to Dallas, TX in 1997.
C.D. owned a couple of businesses but worked most of his career as an electronic technician at Texas Instruments. He continued to run his own business building control systems after retirement. Though his career was mostly focused on electronics, his other passion was for photography. CD worked as a professional photographer part-time and as an enthusiast, taking thousands of photos and videos, capturing everything beautiful from flowers and landscapes to airshows and even several of his children’s weddings.
C.D. was very proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He would tell stories about them to just about anyone who would listen.
Those left to cherish his memory are his siblings Julia Reeves, Richard Webb III, Mary Pat Butler, and Terry Webb, two sons Richard Webb and Michael Webb; three daughters, Grace Webb, Michelle Nance, and Jessica Gross; 13 Grandchildren, Brittany, Running Bird, Adda, Joshua, Ethan, Basil, Holden, River, Savannah, Cadence, Jessica, Jackson and Annabelle; three great grandchildren Jade and Cheyton Fletcher and Riley Hayes.
CD was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Delores Webb.
