Constantine Mathas

Constantine “Connie” Mathas, 83, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on July 3, 2020. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 19, 1937. Connie graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1955. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee before entering the U.S. Army Reserve in 1960, where he was called into active duty during his service.

Throughout a long and storied career of more than 50 years, Connie excelled in educational, real estate, and insurance sales, with companies including The Richards Company Inc., Collier’s Encyclopedia, American Invsco, and Family Learning Systems.

Connie was active in the Greek Orthodox communities in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Dallas, Texas throughout the course of his life. He served on the Parish Council for many years at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Dallas, and he always enjoyed serving the community at the church’s annual Greek Food Festival.

Connie had the most generous, kind, and faithful heart. He dedicated his life to his family, friends, work colleagues, and church community. He was revered as a mentor, motivator, and friend. He will always be remembered for his dynamic and charming personality, captivating storytelling abilities, and keen sense of humor. He was a life-long fan of the Green Bay Packers, as well as a lover of music and a patron of the arts. His support for his children in their academic, athletic, and artistic endeavors was boundless. For this, and so much more, Connie is owed a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid.

He was preceded in death by parents, Thomas Efthimios and Panayiota Mathas; brother, Efthimios T. Mathas; sisters, Chrysoula Mathas and Katherine Panagos; and son, Alex Mathas.

Connie will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 34 years, Ann Fitch Mathas; daughter, Margaret Mathas; sons, Jason Mathas and Christian Mathas; and his many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and childhood friends.

On Thursday, July 23 at 10:00am CST, a private funeral service will be held to celebrate Connie’s life. Interment will be at Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas.
