Gertrude Marie Wells was born on September 23, 1925 in Dallas, Texas. She was a daughter of Ralph and Lena Martin. She departed to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 18, 2010, in Dallas, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by a brother, John Martin, and by a sister, Phyllis Bell, and her husband, Leslie Blane Wells Jr.
She is survived by the following children, Leslie Wells and his wife, Autumn, of Garland, Texas; LeNeta Billingsley and her husband, Larry, of Mesquite, Texas; Carl Wells and his wife, Terry, of Corsicana, Texas; and Dennis Wells and his wife, Tommie, of Heath, Texas. She is also survived by her sister, Marie Montgomery and her husband John, of Mesquite, Texas, along with 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Thursday evening at 6:00 pm, with a Rosary immediately following, at Sparkman Funeral Home, 1029 South Greenville Ave., Richardson, Texas. Funeral Mass will be Friday morning at 10:00 am, at St Thomas Aquinas Church, 6306 Kenwood Ave., Dallas, Texas, with Father John Libone officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas, TX.
