Jimmie Webb

Jimmie Dale Webb, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Plano, TX, on Sunday, May 24th, 2026, with family by his side. He was born on January 9th, 1947, in Dallas, TX, to Willie J. Webb and Dora Maxine McClatchy Webb. Jimmie was raised in Pleasant Grove, TX, and graduated from W.W. Samuell High School in Dallas, TX in 1965.

Jimmie was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, where he served in Vietnam from 1966 to 1972. He was in the walking dead, a famous Marine battalion known for heavy combat, in Vietnam. He was awarded 2 Purple Hearts and served with valor.

Jimmie and Colleen married in 1985. Jimmie and Colleen entered their marriage with 2 children each from previous marriages. Jimmie worked as a clerk for the U.S.P.S. Bulk Mail Center, where he worked for more than 35 years.

In Jimmie’s spare time, he enjoyed grilling, car shows, Star Trek shows and movies, and watching history shows. He also enjoyed finding good quality teas, coffees, burgers, butcher shops, and markets offering specialty foods.

Jimmie’s family and friends will remember him as a Christian man who loved God and his family. He will also be remembered for his stories and his enthusiasm for sharing history, especially family history.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Willie J. Webb and Dora Maxine McClatchy Webb; wife Colleen Webb; brother Kenneth Webb; and sister Regena Cooper.

Jimmie is survived by his children, Holly and Eric Konigsberg, and Holly’s four children, Katie, Courtney, Jacob, and Makayla; Jerod and Stephanie Webb, and their children, Sarah and Mason; David and Jennifer Baxter, and their two children, Noah and Ava; and Brian and Amanda Baxter.
