He was born in Scottsdale, Arizona on August 12, 1988. Joseph graduated from Berkner High School in 2006 and was a student at UNT Denton working on an elementary education degree when his illness brought his studies to a halt.
Joseph was active in scouting through elementary school and high school. He became an Eagle Scout on December 6, 2007. Joseph was also a member of the Order of the Arrow and the Columbian Squires.
Joseph worked in the kitchen at the Pocket Sandwich Theatre up until the time he became ill. He had to give up working at the Pocket but this did not stop him from leading a productive life. Joseph enjoyed bowling, going to the movies, and spending time with his friends. He also enjoyed attending Anime conferences wearing costumes he designed and made with the help of his brother and mother.
He is survived by his mother and father, Barbara J and Frank J Garcia, his brother David A Garcia, his grandmother, Elizabeth Santulli and his aunts and uncles including Barbara Wallenhorst, Thomas Garcia, Martha Sohdi, Linda and Mark Parsons, Michael Santulli, Tariq Syed, as well as, his faithful dog, Bluto.
Funeral arrangements will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Richardson on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 10:30 am followed by internment at Restland Cemetery.
