Beloved sister, mother, and grandmother, Marilyn (Sally) Joan Kennedy, 81, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and beloved cats Wednesday, April 6, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 30, 1930, in Buffalo, New York, to parents Milton & Evelyn Hronek. A style icon with quick wit, and a bright smile, and gift of conversation endeared her to all who spent time with her. A graduate of Rock Island High School in Rock Island, IL in 1948, she went on to work in the hospitality industry. She is survived by her brother, Peter Hronek, son, Michael Kennedy, daughter, Candace Kennedy, and grandchildren Sarah and Katie Kennedy. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2011 at Sparkman Funeral Home at 1029 S. Greenville Ave., Richardson, TX 75081. Funeral services are 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at All Saints Catholic Church located at 5231 Meadowcreek Drive, Dallas, TX 75248. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or ASPCA in her honor. The family would like to thank dear friends and colleagues for their support.
