

Raul Alberto Soqui, age 60, of Dallas, passed away on January 26, 2021. Raul and his twin brother Rafael Alberto were born on December 23, 1960 in Phoenix, AZ to Belia Ysabel Corrales Soqui and Rafael Vera Soqui. Raul attended Skiff Elementary School from 1965-1972, Wilson Junior High School from 1972-1974, and he graduated from East High School in Phoenix in 1978. In 1977 he joined the Ballet Folkorico Azteca dance troop, and danced with them until the early 80's. The dance troop traveled in the Phoenix area performing shows, and also performed events at Disneyland. Raul began working for Greyhound Lines in 1978 as a secretary. To help further his growing career, Raul attended classes at DeVry University and Phoenix College. He worked for Greyhound for 25 years, and retired as the Corporate Pricing Manager in 2003. He then took a position with the City of Richardson, and ultimately earned the title of Senior Human Resources Specialist. Raul worked for the City of Richardson for 15 years.
Raul was known to all for his kind soul and gentle heart, and showed unconditional love to anyone he came into contact with. Family was the most important thing to him, along with his pets, which he considered his children. In his younger years, he loved to travel and make memories with his friends. He enjoyed cooking and his signature dish was his fried tacos.
Raul is preceded in death by his parents, Belia C. Soqui Contreras and Rafael V. Soqui; sister, Estella Fimbres; niece, Maria "Chicky" Sotelo; and great-nephew, Dominic Soqui.
He is survived by his spouse, Tracy Perkins; stepfather, Antonio Contreras; twin brother, Rafael Soqui (spouse: Maricruz Soto); brother, Richard Soqui (spouse: Lisa Soqui); sisters, Rachel Enriquez and Blanca Contreras; nieces, Rechelle, Marivel, Genesa, Vanessa, Bernadette, Sophia, Stephanie, Jennifer, and Stacey; nephews, Richard, Ricky, Adrian; great-nieces, Briana, Elena, Cassidy, Helena, Makayla, Brielle, Braylah, Luna, Alyssa, Layla, Reagan, Correna, Jaedyn, Adali, and Aylin; great-nephews, Fernando, Orlando, Armando, Matthew, Andrew, Adonis, Tyler, Gaige; and a host of other family members and friends.
