Ray was born June 13, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan and died December 2, 2010 in McKinney, Texas. Ray was a people person. Ray has been abruptly called home to his Heavenly Father and has again returned to the open arms of his loving mother. He gave of himself freely by sharing God's love with others.
Ray attended school at St. Paul the Apostle Elementary and Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas before going on to earn his BSBA in Management Information Systems at the University of Texas at Dallas. He was currently working at Torchmark Insurance as a computer programmer, and enjoyed golf in his spare time.
Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Kusiak Steele.
He is survived by his father, Gerald (Jerry) and wife Clarita Steele; sisters, Pamela and Denise; brother, Michael; step-brother, James; step-sisters, Aimee and Joleen; aunts, Jean and Judy; uncle, Ted; nephews, John, Scott, Calvin, and Jake; as well as numerous cousins and friends in Michigan, Texas, and Iowa.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Ray’s life will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 9:30 A.M. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 S. Floyd Rd, Richardson, TX 75080. In lieu of flowers, his family would appreciate memorial donations in Ray’s honor to The Samaritan Inn, 1710 North McDonald Street
