Born in Jacksonville, Texas on October 21, 1920.
Died in Corinth, Texas on September 21, 2019.
Preceded in death by parents, Goble Dewey and Ruby McNew of Henderson, Texas, infant son Steven Lynn Jeter and son James Dewey Jeter of Coppell, Texas.
She is survived by her loving husband; Jack E. Jeter of Richardson and Corinth, Texas, daughter; Jill Brock and her husband Chris Brock of Corinth, Texas, her sister; Barbara Cooney and her husband Mike Cooney of Richardson, Texas, and her brother; Buck McNew and his wife Frances of Henderson, Texas, grandsons; Ryan Smith, Austin Jeter, and Andrew Jeter, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Maxine was a people person and she enjoyed getting together with her friends and engaging in lively conversation. She enjoyed meeting with her sorority sisters in Richardson. She lovingly raised her two children in Richardson, Texas and worked in retail sales at Lord and Taylor in Plano, Texas and Storkland, Dallas after her children were out of school. She was a member in the Altar Guild in the Episcopal Churches over the years in Richardson, Dallas, and Alamogordo, NM.
Maxine had dementia for many years. Her poor health plagued her for the last year, and she was moved into an assisted living facility until her journey to her departure from this Earth. She is now at peace by following Jesus Christ, as he leads her God’s Heaven.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of Holy Communion or the Alzheimer’s Association.
