Born on March 9, 1975, in Buffalo, New York, Lane lived a life full of love, laughter, and strong opinions about sports. If you ever met him, you probably laughed within the first five minutes and kept laughing every time after. His wit was as quick as his smile, and his warmth could light up any room.
Lane is preceded in death by his father, Dinesh D. Suchak Sr., and brother Ashwin Suchak. He is survived by his husband and partner-in-crime, Clay Barker; his mother, Martha Stanley, and stepfather, Clyde Stanley; his brothers, Dinesh “DJ” Suchak Jr. and Raj Suchak; his brother-in-law, Ray Barker; and a crew of step-siblings, nieces, nephews, and chosen family who adored him. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Taylor and Cash, who will miss their favorite guy dearly (and likely expect someone else to carry on the treat-giving tradition).
Lane was a hard worker from the very beginning, joining his older brother on the paper route at just three years old. He had a deep love for golf (even when the scorecard didn’t love him back), fantasy football (where he considered himself a legend), and cheering on his favorite teams. He made everything more fun—from Sunday games to casual dinners.
His presence was a gift, his humor unforgettable, and his love fiercely loyal. We already miss him more than words can say.
A celebration of Lane’s life has been planned for Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 2 PM to 4 PM at Sparkman Funeral Home, 1029 South Greenville Ave., Richardson, Texas 75081.
