Susan and Family,
Tom and I went thru the Lutheran schools together up thru 6th grade.  He lived next door to me on Wood St in Beverly.  He was my best friend.  I searched high and low and could never locate him after he left the Army.  I am saddened by his passing but it looks like he had a great family and friends.  Was always hoping we'd meet up again one day.

Tom was a steadying example at the IBIE in Vegas on 9-11. When a Vietnam veteran Marine didn't get rattled, the rest of us could hold our focus. 

For Susan and Tom's children and grandchildren, may your memories and pictures comfort you. God bless.

Prayers for Nicole's Dad, from her 2nd cousin once removed.

Susan and Family.  I am devastated in learning of Tom's passing.  For over 10 years he was a daily part of my professional life.  I have so many fond memories of our Norand life together, particularly the early days when you  two got together.  Tom was a man of great character, charm, and capability.  He was bigger than life and always a true gentleman - someone you could always count on.   I learned much from Tom and appreciate the good times we had with the rest of the Norand Dive Team.  I will raise a glass of Cuba Libre in memory of Tom.  He definitely made this planet a better place and I am sure he will do the same in Heaven.

Tom was a great man who loved Susan, his children, grandchildren and all his many friends.He live his life as he wanted to, never backing down from something he believe would better his family, his country or his life.He was so courageous! He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

My condolences go out to you and your family. In addition to our personal relationship and the fun times we had together, Tom was always a huge help for me at JM Petroleum and my subsequent business ventures.  Tom was truly a master at understanding what customer prospects needed to be told and he knew when to be quiet. I have never met anyone quite like him in that regard.  I am very happy that Tom and I recently made time to be together and enjoy some our mutual interest. Tom will be missed and thought of often.  You, Tom and your families are in my thoughts and prayers.

Our condolences go out to you and Tom's family. We all have great memories of all the fun times with Tom. The only thing Tom did not get me to try was jumping out of a perfectly good airplane!  We did over 50 Scuba dives together and he got me into riding Harleys amongst many other things. I will always have fond memories.

Thoughts and prayers for Nicole and family.

In Tom we lost a big man with a big heart who lived a large life. Many of us leaned on Tom for his advice and wisdom and honesty. Susan our prayers are with you and your family on his loss.  He will always be remember and cherished by the many who were fortunate to know.

Dragon and I have known Tom and Susan for many years. We worked together, played together and complained together. Of special note were our many scuba dives with Tom in some wonderful underwater venues and we will treasure these marvelous memories. Tom was a fighter and survivor. His spirit lives on.

Tom was a pleasure to work with during our many years at Norand.  Will miss the fun times we had from skiing Lake Tahoe to diving Grand Cayman, even went with him to Laughlin a couple of times.  His life was ended much too soon.  So sorry for your loss, Susan.

Tom was always what I call; "The Voice of Reason" when we/I go off on a tangents and always offered "valuable perspectives". Keep our spot saved in heaven Tom!  RIP brother.

Tom Madden was a man of integrity and honesty in all facets of his life. When I quit competing with Tom and came to work at Norand, I came to respect the man, his passions, and his competitive nature. I discovered a renaissance man.  We discussed accounts, classic books, and the state of the union. 

After Norand; Tom and I migrated to having or attempting to have breakfast once a month. I always arrived early to let him know the LZ was clear since Army Recon had arrived early and that the marines could bring the picnic supplies. He always replied that the reason Army did not find anything is because the Marines were there ahead of us.

We discussed topics which had our passion. We had some really detailed and spirited discussions.  We did not agree on everything, but we always left as friends.  I learned that if one was to have a discussion with Tom about his passions and wanted to question his position; you had better come prepared.

We will miss Tom and his friendship

Tom was always larger than life in work and in play. His exuberance, skill and humor made it a pleasure to work with him on a deal, spend some time scuba diving or just talking and solving the world's problems.
Susan and family-my condolences. He leaves some wonderful memories for all who had the great pleasure of knowing him.

Saw Tom about a month ago he wanted to start flying ultralight airplanes with me,he was looking forward to flying with me.Will miss him a great deal.

Susan and family. It was a pleasure knowing, and working with Tom. We worked together at Norand, Mobile Tek, and Trimble. I'll never forget our trip to San Juan PR. Neither one of us could understand the road signs, but together we managed to make our sales appointment on time. We had some great times together, especially all the Quota Club trips, and the President's Club dinners. After retirement, we still phoned each other to just keep in touch. I'll miss him. He was a true friend.

I had the pleasure of working with Tom at Norand. What a loss to you all. My heart is with his family. I'm so very sorry for your loss.

Susan, I just got the message about the passing of Tom.   I am so sorry to hear this.   Tom was truly an inspiration to me when I started in the business thirty years ago.  He was a man of integrity and a great sense of humor.
