

He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on October 29, 1944. Tom graduated from the University of Houston in 1970. It was there where he met and later married Peggy Liberatore on June 6, 1970. They celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary this year.
Tom loved nature and adventure. He especially enjoyed books and movies featuring James Bond and Indiana Jones. Tom and Peggy loved to travel and cruise. His favorite vacation spot was Alaska, where they visited on numerous trips. As a U.S. Navy veteran, Tom focused on military history in books, documentaries and movies.
Tom is survived by his wife, Peggy, his daughters, Kim Zotter Dopp and Christie Zotter, his son-in-law, Chris Dopp, and his granddaughters, Bella and Juliet Dopp. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
A memorial service will be held from 11:00 - 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, at Sparkman Funeral Home in Richardson followed by a private ceremony at the DFW National Cemetery where he will be honored by the U.S. Navy for his service.
He will be forever missed by friends and family. Tom will be remembered for his wit and humor and, more importantly, for the strength of his love and commitment to his wife and family.
