It is with profound sadness that the family of Victoria “Vicki” Anne (Bryant) Lunsman announces her passing on Sunday February 20, 2022. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. Vicki is survived by her children, Steve and Tamara (Favorite) and nephew and niece, Josh and Chelsea. Vicki was the proud grandmother of her five grandchildren Josh, Katie, Aubryn, Becca, and Seren. She is the granddaughter of late Dorothy (Hutchins) Gago, daughter of late Juanita Marie Anne (Gago) Bryant and beloved sister of late Deborah (Debby) Anne Bryant. Her family will remember most for her gifts of love, wisdom, compassion, and generosity.
She was born in Newbury, England on “Victory in Europe Day” which marked the end of World War II in Europe, this very much symbolizes her life which she dedicated to peace and love throughout her life. She had a varied and full childhood and lived in Bordeaux, France for much of her childhood before moving to the United States as a teenager. She enjoyed traveling and she pioneered upwards of ten international trips with which to explore the world with her friends. She was a lifelong learner: a voracious reader who always had a book in hand. With her own private library of over 1,000 books that she would review, read, and discuss without abandon and be the one-stop source for her suggestions of their next reads.
She was always kind and thought of others before herself, even up to her last weeks, she asked how she could help the nurses by buying them treats and cakes. She was passionate about having very serious and meaningful conversations and was a compassionate listener. Often she would invite friends and family for tea, where we could chose out of her 20 to 50 collectible tea pots with which we could sit and enjoy each others’ company. This time was often more about the conversation than the tea.
She attended the University of Texas, Austin and received her degree in early education. She furthered her education with a Master’s degree from the University of North Texas, Denton in library sciences. Throughout her career she made an impact on so many children’s lives, but also her co-workers lives.
A visitation for Victoria will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Sparkman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1029 South Greenville Ave, Richardson, TX 75081, followed by a celebration of life from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and reception from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
