Donald Kline

Donald I. Kline LT COL, USAF RET Don departed this earth December 10, 2009 at age 92. He was a son, brother, husband, father, pilot, war hero, engineer, friend. He was born in South Dakota on a farm with mother, father, two sisters and three brothers. He was a decorated war hero who gave 30 years of his life to and for his country. Married to Dorothy Patterson Kline for over 63 years. They had five children, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his oldest daughter Donna, and a brother and sister. He is mourned by his wife, his sons Vic and Kim, his daughters, Patrice and Christine, his brothers, Lawrence and Bernard, his sister Janette, his grandchildren Brandy and Michael, Shannon and Steve and six great grandchildren. We deeply miss you-sleep well. Don was a member of The VFW, The American Legion, The SIRS and a charter member of The Novato Elks Lodge. Services will be held on December 18th at 2:00 PM at the Valley Memorial Cemetery Chapel and a Celebration of Life Memorial gathering at the Elks Lodge in Novato on Sunday, December 20th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Family would prefer donations to The Elks Lodge in lieu of flowers.
