JACK BEGGS, age 98, passed away on October 16, 2023 in San Rafael. He is survived by his daughter and son, Andrea Beggs and Robert Beggs, his granddaughter, Karla Valentine, and his great-grandson, Kaiden Wunder. He was a long-time member of the U.S. Merchant Marines, and after temporarily leaving the Merchant Marines, he married Marjorie June Beggs and established a career where he bought and sold used garage equipment. Jack was a dear friend to many. He was devoted to St. Paul Episcopal Church in San Rafael; one of his favorite past times was hiking and spending time at the Nature Friends Tourist Club above the hills of Mill Valley; and he volunteered his time to driving seniors who were unable to drive themselves, to and from doctor appointments. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Episcopal Church, 1123 Court Street, San Rafael, CA 94901, at the corner of Mission and Court Streets.
