Marie Catherine Post, fondly called grandma “Re” by her great-grandchildren, passed away on Monday, September 1, at the age of 92. Marie resided in Novato in Los Robles Mobile Home Park. Marie is survived by her daughter Connie Lazzareschi and her son-in-law Larry, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son John and her younger sister Gloria Gilmore. Marie was born in Felton, California on April 19, 1922 to Pete and Louise Rosa. Marie was a graduate of Saint Paul’s High School class of 1939. Marie worked as a supervisor in the Wells Fargo trust department in San Francisco until her retirement in 1983. Marie was a devout Catholic and attended St. Anthony’s church. She was a loving, giving mother and grandmother and a devoted friend. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Services will be held this Monday, September 8 at Valley Memorial Park at 650 Bugeia Lane in Novato at 11 am. Flowers can be sent to Valley Memorial Park. Donations to Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers charity in lieu of flowers are also welcome.
