Ruby Jean Edwards, age 57, of Richmond, California passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.
She was born to parents Lugene Judge and Ruby Peoples on January 9, 1964 in Richmond, CA. Ruby attended schools in the Richmond Unified School District including Richmond High School during her senior year.
Ruby, also affectionately known as “Toosie” was free spirited and very fun to be around. If you said something that she didn’t agree with she’d look at you as if you were crazy.
Toosie worked as an in home supportive aide for over 6 years before her passing. She had a kind heart and a genuine spirit. Toosie was a woman who tried to live life and her family to the fullest. It’s so good to know that she also had a good relationship with her Lord and Savior.
Ruby (Toosie) Jean Edwards leaves a lifetime of loving memories that will be cherished forever by her one and only daughter, Marquita Edwards; four granddaughters, Martionna Anderson, Alana Washington, Alanzrih’a Washington, and Aaliyah Washington; three sisters Ernestine Jackson, Edmonia “Puddin” (Anthony) Moore, and Grace Dovet Green. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
