

Anthony Earl "Butch" Huff, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2013, at the age of 58, after a battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Butch was born in Lynchburg, Va., to the late Myrtle Overstreet Patterson Huff and Alfred E. "Josh" Huff. After spending his early childhood in Gladstone and Richmond, he moved to Rockville, Va., to live with the late Emmett and Penny Simmons. He graduated from Patrick Henry High School and studied at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. He last worked as a foreman and set carpenter for film productions and was a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Local 487.
Butch is survived by his son, Adam; daughter, Amanda; grandson, Noah; and devoted partner, Katie Garnett. Butch is lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters, Larry Patterson, Bill Patterson, Bruce Patterson, Diane Tucker, the late Sandra Ragland, Sharon Schultz, Donna Faucett, Blake Huff, and the late Kerry Huff; also many family members, friends, and co-workers.
The family welcomes sharing of memories at a service of remembrance to be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va., 23229. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to BreathMatters Support Group of Virginia (breathmatters.org) or a charity of choice.
