She is also preceded in death by her two husbands Stuart Wallace and Robert Hollins, a son Stephen Wallace and little brother Dan Broome among other family and friends. She is survived by her sister Judy Finn, grandson Barry Wallace (Stephanie), granddaughter April Wallace, great grandsons Brandon Wallace and Zachary Wallace, nieces May Duffy and Rebecca Hand, daughter in-law Linda Wallace among other family members.
She was a loving sister to her siblings Judy and Dan. While growing up she traveled around the world with her family. When stateside she was in Dowell, Virginia where her family owned several different businesses and lots of land. When she was 6 years old she crossed the Atlantic Ocean on a ship from England to New York all by herself. She was an amazing violinist but growing up when she did she knew she would never be 1st chair, so she decided to teach violin to children. Then she met her 1st husband Stuart Wallace and they were married in 1951. They celebrated the birth of their son Stephen in 1953. As a family they enjoyed trips to Buckroe Beach, Virginia to visit his partial grandparents. She went to secretarial school and then got job as a secretary at Reynolds Medal Company. She worked there for over 40 years, she retired in 1992. She then traveled across the country with several different senior groups she was apart of and enjoyed herself. She once met Reba McIntyre, Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds while in Nashville, Tennessee. She loved doing puzzles, crafts and collecting beanie babies, dolls and teddy bears. She met her 2nd husband Robert Hollins and they were married in 1995 and added a numerous number of family members to her clan. They attended Lakeside Baptist Church for years and continued traveling across the country with senior groups.
She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2015 and she beat it like a Champ. She slowly developed Dementia until it total consumed her. She still knew some of her family members but slowly didn't recognize us. But visiting her was still a joy but hard seeing her that way. We still loved her and supported her until the end. Then she was diagnosed with covid-19 about 2 weeks before her passing, which finally took her life last Saturday morning. Until the end she was a lovely woman, She was a great sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, mother in-law, friend among other titles. Even through she's gone now our hearts are still full of love for her, we will never forget her. Our hearts are breaking and our tears are falling. She is now reunited with all her family and friends who have gone on before her. Those of us who are left behind will always have our memories of her.
