

Born on August 7, 1935, in Utica, New York, Barbara spent most of her life in upstate New York before relocating to Richmond in late 2021. She led a wholesome and quiet life, finding joy in attending church, spending time with family, gardening, reading, and caring for her beloved cats.
Barbara began her career as a bookkeeper before choosing to stay home to raise her children. Later, she returned to work as a school bus driver, a role that allowed her to be home during the summers with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Harold. She is survived by her sons, Steve (Andrea) and Paul (Laraine) as well as her grandchildren, Spencer and Sophia.
A service to honor Barbara’s life will be held on March 17, 2025, at Woody Funeral Home, located at 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, Virginia, 23229. The service will begin at 3:00 PM and conclude at 4:00 PM. She will be buried alongside her husband in Clifton Park, New York at a later date.
