She is survived by her three daughters Evans Dowdy, Holly Rison (Townes) and Robin Kelley; granddaughter, Mallory Sutherland (Sean) and grandsons, Erik (Elizabeth) and Billy (Sarah Krumholz) Rison. She was a terrific “Great Mimi” to her great grandsons, Hank and Gabe Sutherland.
Betty was loved by all and was known to have a playful sense of humor. She enjoyed traveling the world with David, playing tennis and golf, was a skillful artist and a committed knitter to the end.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be held for family and friends at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2023, with a memorial service at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 1101 Forest Ave., Richmond, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 28. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity or the St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church Endowment Fund.
