

MARR, Clayton Edward Jr., of East Hampton, N.Y., passed away November 17, 2011 at the Medical College of Virginia. A talented artist and architect, he was a graduate of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He was an avid explorer of all the world had to offer, especially if there was a beach nearby. He found pleasure in all things new. Edward entertained family and his numerous friends with his quick wit and sense of humor. As a lifetime dog lover, his Jack Russell, Wilma, brought him sixteen years of pure pleasure.
Edward was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Hord Marr. He is survived by his long time partner, David Parr of Parr, Va. Surviving family includes his father, Clayton Edward Marr Sr. and his wife, Peggy Tuck Marr, of Richmond; sister, Meredith Watson and husband, Michael, of Raleigh, N.C.; sister, Allyson Leigh of Mechanicsville, Va.; and nephews, Brennan and David Watson of Raleigh, N.C., and Clay Milburn of Richmond, Va.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 North Parham Road, Richmond Va. Funeral services will be Monday, 2 p.m. at Christ Church Episcopal, 5000 Pouncey Tract Road, Glen Allen, Va.
