

WILLIAMS, Clinton Murray, 97, formerly of Powhatan, died September 8, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Amber Williams; and his brother, Randolph Williams; and by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Taylor Williams in 2005. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Bowden of Plano, Texas; his daughter, Linda Denton and her husband, Bill, of Henrico; son, Donald Williams and his wife, Nena, of Midlothian; four grandchildren, Chad Vitek and his wife, Christina, Cori Pike and her husband, Josh, Marvin Williams, Helen Williams and her fiancee, Nathan Holden; great-grandchildren, Kaylin Harley, Joslyn Pike, Jason Williams and Brooke Vitek. Mr. Williams was a Powhatan native and spent over seven decades working the family farm. He was a lifetime member of Fine Creek Baptist Church, and a former member of the Midlothian Senior Citizen Group. He enjoyed gardening, singing hymns, dancing, visiting others and talking about his farm and family. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, Henrico. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 3 p.m. at Fine Creek Baptist Church, 3619 Huguenot Trail in Powhatan. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
