FACE, Corey Alexander, age 31, of Glen Allen passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018. He was born to Melissa Baisch Face and Edward Joseph Face, Jr. on May 31, 1987 in Port Jefferson, New York. Corey was preceded in death by his grandparents Edward J. and Theresa D. Face and Edward A. and Jane S. Baisch. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, brother Jonathan and wife Kristen; his niece Margaret; uncles Mark E. Baisch, John G. Face (Barbara), James M. Face (Vicky); aunt Jeannie Face (Richard); cousins Andrew (Janine), Breanna, Parker, Peyton; and special cousins Alexis DiMaio and Ashley Fernandez.
The family would like to thank the special education staff in the Henrico County Public Schools System, the staff at the former A Grace Place, now the Richmond ARC, the medical staff at VCU Medical Center, St. Mary’s Hospital, and Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama for their care, support and dedication.
Corey was truly a special gift from heaven and he touched so many lives. He was a source of strength to all those who knew and loved him, and he taught us the infinite joy in life’s simple things. Corey will also be remembered for his love of music, his laughter, bandanas, and Converse. He did not ask for anything, but he gave everything.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11am at Three Chopt Presbyterian Church, 9315 Three Chopt Road, Henrico, Va. 23229, with reception to follow. Private burial services will be in Birmingham, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Corey’s name may be made to The Greater Richmond ARC, Shriners Hospitals for Children, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
