OWEN, Donald Thomas "D.O.", 63, of Richmond, passed away Friday morning, June 25, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frances Kitelyn Owen and Floyd Thomas Owen; and his loving aunt, Mary "Tiny" Longmire. Don will be greatly missed by his wife of 33 years, Linda Jeter Owen; daughter, Cheryl Owen Reynolds and her husband, Thomas R. Reynolds Sr.; grandchildren, Amanda "Rosie" Mitchell, Thomas Reed Reynolds Jr., Adreanne Michell Savee and her husband, Christopher R. Savee; aunt, Louise Simons of Blackstone, Va.; and his faithful feline companion, Izzy.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, friend, golf partner, softball coach, bar fly and beach bum, D.O. will be missed by numerous other family members and friends. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2315 Parham Road. A reception will follow at Rare Olde Times Pub at Patterson and Pump Roads. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SPCA, First Tee, or Tuckahoe Little League.
