Doris Large Bevan

BEVAN, Doris Large, 88, passed away August 19, 2016 in N. Chesterfield, Va. She was the daughter of Julius Dewey Large, Sr. and Mary Pinter Large. Doris was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Norman William “Bill” Bevan; two brothers, Julius D. Large, Jr. and Paul M. Large; two sisters, Elizabeth Lawrence and Harriet Large. Doris is survived by her daughter, Deborah Bevan, Port Charlotte, Fla. and her heart daughter, Carol Levine also of Port Charlotte; three brothers, Wilfred P. (Carole) Large of Virginia Beach, Va. her twin Donald E. (Betty Jane) Large of Chesapeake, Va., and Alfred T. Large of Virginia Beach, Va. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Ginter Hall South and especially Lafon Kinchen; Rev. Ed Powell and Meghan Andrews of Hospice Community Care; as well as the parishioners of Tuckahoe Presbyterian Church for their prayers, cards and visits. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Westhampton Memorial and Cremation Park, 10000 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23238.
