She is survived by her devoted husband James (Jim) Donald Campbell, Sr, and their daughters Yvonne and Michelle, 6 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Son, James Donald (Don), Jr, a Marine veteran of Desert Storm, preceded her in death.
Dottie was born in Catlett, Virginia where she met, and later married, her high school sweetheart Jim. While raising children, she attended a local community college, graduating Cum Laude with a degree in nursing.
She enjoyed a long career working as a Registered Nurse in hospitals in and around Richmond, Virginia. In her free time, Dottie loved traveling with family and friends to Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains and to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She was an avid reader, a skilled baker, and spent many happy hours applying her sharp intellect to solving puzzles of all kinds.
Dottie will be laid to rest privately at Oak Dale Baptist Church Cemetery in Nokesville, Virginia.
