COREY, Dorothy Jane Major , 86, of Richmond, passed away, Tuesday, March 8, 2016. She retired from C & P Telephone Co. Jane was preceded in death by her parents Barbarie “Skinny” & Lessie Mae Davidson & first husband Matt B. Major. She is survived by her husband George Corey, brother Jim Davidson & his wife Nettie, her brother Jack Davidson & his wife Frankie, her sister Jean Farmer, her son David Major & his wife Dale, her son Mark Major, her daughter Judy Coleman & her husband Joe, loving grandchildren & great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 2 to 5:00 pm at Woody Funeral Home-Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229, where her memorial service will be held Sunday, March 13, at 2:00 pm. Interment at Westhampton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23238, Monday, March 14, at 2:00 p.m.* In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
