A Navy veteran of WWII, he was senior vice president of F. Richard Wilton, Jr. Inc. for 45 years. They were truly a second family to him.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters and a very special grandson, Scottie.
Ed is survived by his three children; Selden Denton, Jr., Scott Denton and wife Debra, Robin Denton May, a sister Bessie Satterfield, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Richmond, VA 23229 and services will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 2:00pm at the funeral home with interment following at Westhampton Memorial Park.
