Edward Floyd Schrimsher

Edward Floyd Schrimsher Jr., 73, went to be with his Savior on December 2, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Schrimsher of Birmingham, Alabama. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Stephany; three children, David Roberts (Mae Ruth), Steve Roberts (Becky) and Penny Angelini (Chris); sister, Jayne and her children, Amy and Jason. He was the loving P-Pop to nine grandchildren, Bryan, Caity, Austin, Wyatt, Will, Ella, Chase, Luke and Van.

Floyd attended Auburn University (War Eagle!) and was an Industrial Engineer for both Reynolds Metals and Circuit City. He served his country as a U.S. Marine, loved woodworking, hiking and classical music, but was happiest of all at the helm of a sailboat. Floyd walked through life as an honest Christian and taught his family the true meaning of gentleman. Found in his Bible was the following handwritten note: "Honor the presence of God in each one you meet."

A memorial service will be held at Welborne United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, with a reception to follow. Interment private. Memorial donations may be made in his name to Welborne United Methodist Church.
