Edward Liston Spence III, 62, passed away on April 5, 2013; He was born to the late Edward Jr. and Jane Elizabeth Spence Mains on October 30, 1950 in Hampton, VA. Ed graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1969 and after school he served in the US Air Force from 1970 though 1976.
Ed was preceded in death by his brother George Lawrence Spence. Ed is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years Elizabeth Brugh Spence, their children; Edward Liston and Joseph Lawrence. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Albert Hillier who was there for Ed and was a tremendous help to the family though this difficult time.
The family will receive friends to help celebrate Ed’s life at the Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Richmond, VA. on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00pm. The interment will be private at the Amelia Veterans cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Richmond, DSAGR, P.O. Box 70789 Richmond, VA. 23255 or the charity of your choice.
